Home Seedling Nursery and Bio Control Project in Barbados
Home Seedling Nursery and Bio Control Project in Barbados
This project aims to reduce the quantity of chemicals used in agriculture by replacing them with bio-chemicals and bio- fertilizers which could be the basis of a small business. In addition, this project will engage stay-at-home caregivers to less - abled children in a micro-enterprise of germinating organic seedlings for sale to organic farmers at home.

The planning grant will be used to identify and/or develop the research methodology into local bio-chemicals and bio-fertilizers; develop suitable criteria for selection of the care givers; convene meetings with the stakeholders; hold one workshop for training project beneficiaries (care givers); complete an income and expenditure impact projection report; and draft and finalize the project proposal.
