Integrated land use and Biodiversity Conservation in Sio River Catchment's Project Busia District
The proposed integrated project is a community-led initiative with the main goal of improving the standards of living of small holder farmers by use of improved sustainable farming technologies and river bank / wetland protection through use of indigenous trees for improved food production, clean water and health. The project targets to build the capacity of 20 community groups with technologies in three main components.

1. River bank and wetland rehabilitation by use of indigenous trees.
2. Improved sustainable conservation farming practices.
3. Enhancement of wood fuel conservation by use of improved technologies.
