Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods
For the alternative livelihood development, the activities will include (i) feasibility studies; (ii) identification of community participatnts; (iii) orientations, trainings and production trials; (iv) business plan development; (v) strengthening of existing peoples organizations and cooperatives as well as networking/linkage building.
Notable Community Participation
IP community partners will be involved throughout the entire process, from the planning stages up to monitoring and evaluation stages. Both livelihood and enforcement activities will be planned and implemented by IP community partners: identifying livelihood options, preparing business plans, bookkeeping and other financial management activities, and preparation of enforcement programs. ELAC will provide technical assistance in terms of training (e.g. leadership/organizational development, resource management, financial management), facilitation of meetings to discuss workplans for livelihood and enforcement activities. IPs will choose their project coordinators and team members who will collabotae with ELAC.
