NAGAMATAKA Integrated Coastal Enhancement Resource Management Program (MINDANAO)
This project intends to mobilize various stakeholders for the conservation, restoration and enhancement of biodiversity and the responsible management of Balete Bay towards sustainable development. The objectives of the project are: protect/rehabilitate 3 hectares of mangrove in Brgys. Dawan and Mamali; establish marine sanctuaries covering at least 7 hectares in Balete Bay; deputize at least 30 fisherfolks to the Bantay Dagat Volunteer Program; and establish at least 20 hectares of contour farms owned and developed by individual farmer members within the uplands of Balete Bay.
