The goal of the project is to reduce the consuming firewood from Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park, in particular the Kvabiskhevi forest, by introducing innovative alternative energy sources and active environmental advocacy campaigns. In particular, Kvabiskhevi is not gasified, which means that the local population relies only on firewood in winter and summer. The project envisages the purchase of 10 energy-efficient furnaces for socially vulnerable families and the installation of helio systems for tourism businesses (family hotels) in the village. Within the framework of the project, an eco-club will be established in Kvabiskhevi Public School, which will carry out environmental campaigns. One of the components of the project provides trainings for Kvabiskhevi and Dviri eco-clubs. Therefore, it is important for women and girls to have equal access to these trainings. In addition, since women are primarily responsible for cooking and cleaning at home, it is important to provide them with hot water continuously.

The knowledge, successes and challenges of the project will be analyzed and evaluated. Presentation of the project results, which will be invited by both the NGO sector and the local municipality, will be shared and shared with stakeholders. We will share our experience with the municipality and will provide consulting assistance if it undertakes to implement such a project. We will share the contacts and experiences we gained during the project implementation.

The project has a long-term socio-economic and environmental impact, both in terms of efficient energy use and improvement of living conditions for beneficiaries, as well as minimal negative environmental impacts. The project also played a significant role in raising awareness of the local population on energy efficient and renewable technologies. In addition, similar projects allow them to be replicated.
