Rose Hall Environmental Protection and Sustainable Livelihoods
Rose Hall is a small agrarian community located in the north-western region of St. Vincent. The Rose Hall Culture and Development Organisation (RHCDO) proposed to enhance the development of the area, as an eco-tourism site to generate livelihood opportunities for community members by enhancing its community knowledge base, address unsustainable use of natural resources, assist in the creation of employment opportunities in eco-tourism and rehabilitate and protect areas of the Degro Valley. The primary objective of the project are
I. To enhance livelihoods in Rose Hall through the conservation of biodiversity by December 2016
II. To enhance and preserve the old Arrowroot factory by October 2016
III. To reduce unsustainable livelihood practices within Degro Valley and Rose Hall by December, 2016
