Natural Plants of Ethnic Network from Mae Lao
? Objectives:
a) Reforestation and restore diversity of plantation around Mae Salab - Mae Kam water stream by using local wisdom
b) Support Native people in stream area network to produce community activity and reduce problem in aspects including climate change, soil and resources degradation
c) Improve learning Centre to protect soil, water, forest, and biodiversity

? Target area:
Two major water stream which are Mae Salab and Mae Kam. Mae Salab covered in the area of Mae Fah Luang district while Mae Kam covered in the area of Mae Fah Luang, Mae Jan, Mae Sai, and Chiang Sai districts in Chiangrai. The targeted areas are villages along the main water streams in Chiangrai.
? Proposed Activities:
a. Activity to strengthen community?s ability
i. Meeting to explain the project procedures
ii. Training on system map, community resources management
iii. Examine water substance and chemical substance in blood of targeted group
b. Community forest and diversity activity
i. Restore culture in protecting soil water forest animal according to tribal beliefs
ii. Support more diversity of plantation for example, plant banana tree in watershed area
iii. Set up learning center for example, Local fish learning Centre Mae Salab, Akha tribe forest school (protect local genes), and many others.
c. Renewable energy activity
i. Native mortar water energy
d. Public relations
i. Create documents to distribute about soil degradation, diversity, and climate condition through radio tribe, television and social media to new generations.
ii. Create platform to present on tribal life and highland environmental management
e. Participatory evaluation
