Village capacity needs were mainly on how to manage projects. They secured a lot of knowledge from managing other village development project which became useful when managing the SGP project. Capacity needs that were high on demand was the biodiversity of natural coastal resources found in their village and how they could use these resources to be resilient and to respond to changes of the climate impacting this coastal community
Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods
With the sustenance and abundance of the marine resources since the area became protected (mangrove and marine reserve), there was a increase on fish stock and shell fish for women. This has enabled the community to sell these resources for an improved income and livelihood
