Support to eco-mobility in local communities
The project works to promote the demonstration, development and transfer of low-carbon technologies and transport at the community level with the aim of developing low-carbon climate resilient communities. It empowers communities to scale up successful models by forging partnerships with private and public sectors, as well as with other development partners. The project also focuses on advocacy efforts at local and national levels influencing policy development in the area of low emission transportation. The key tasks of the project are the following: - position Ukraine as the leader in electric mobility; - promote and encourage the use of electric vehicles for public transportation and private ownership; - strengthen electric mobility eco-system and charging infrastructure on the targeted landscape; - accelerate electric mobility technology localization. The Project results contribute to larger GEF VII Electric Drive Technologies and Electric Mobility Programme in Ukraine.
