Raising the public educational level in Cherykau District by establishing the Eco-Friendly Behavior Center and disseminating successful practices of adopting CO2 emission reducing technologies
Project goal: 1. Reduce CO2 emissions by adopting a smart house heating management system and upgrade boiler equipment in the established Eco-Friendly Behavior Center. 2. Raise the public educational level in Cherikau District by developing and disseminating eco-friendly behavior courses: "Ecology and Entrepreneurship", "Ecology and Prudence", "Ecology and Health".
Project tasks:
1. Set up partnership between authorities, an educational institution, a non-commercial organization and business for the project implementation, in particular for local-level promotion of solutions aimed at reducing CO2 emissions by adoption of a house heating automated management system. 2. Adopt and install the smart house technologies in the energy consumption system of the Cherikau Center for Children's and Youth's Tourism. 3. Establish the Eco-Friendly Behavior Center and outfit it with essential information and presentation materials and equipment. 4. Develop three eco-friendly behavior courses: "Ecology and Entrepreneurship", "Ecology and Prudence", "Ecology and Health". 5. Train at least 60 middle and high school students in order to develop their eco-friendly behavior skills.
Expected results:
1. A partnership with authorities, an educational institution, a non-profit organization, representatives of business, including for promotion at the local level of decisions aimed at reducing CO2 emissions through the introduction of an automated building heating management system, was organized.
2. An example of increasing the energy efficiency and environmental friendliness of the administrative building through the introduction of technology "smart home" on the basis of GUDO "Cherikovsky Center for Children and Youth Tourism, Local History and Excursions.3. The Center for Environmental Behavior was established, which is equipped with the necessary information, presentation materials and equipment (information stands, a projector, a screen, a laptop) on the basis of the Cherikov Center for Children and Youth Tourism, Local History and Excursions.4. Three courses of ecological behavior: "Ecology and enterprise", "Ecology and thrift", "Ecology and health" were developed and introduced into practical use by the "Center for Environmental Behavior" (based on the Cherikov Center for Children and Youth Tourism, Local History and Excursions ").5. At least 60 schoolchildren of middle and senior classes among the schools in Cherikov district received training in three developed courses of ecological behavior.6. At least 10 publications (coverage of 10 000 people) are placed in electronic and print media on the created courses of environmental behavior and pilot training of 60 schoolchildren in the Cherikov district.7. At least 15 publications (coverage of 15,000 people) appeared in electronic and print media about the possibility of increasing the efficiency of energy systems in buildings using "smart house" technologies.8. At least 30 participants of the round table got acquainted with the results of the project, the possibilities of saving consumed thermal energy, the content of the developed courses of ecological behavior.9. 118 districts of Belarus and no less than 1000 enterprises were informed about the results of the pilot initiative in the territory of the city of Cherikov, about the successful experience in the introduction of "smart house" technologies in the power systems of administrative buildings.
10. District educational, sports and tourism departments will be given the opportunity to use the developed methodological materials in their region to educate young people in the skills of ecological behavior in the areas of: ecology and enterprise, ecology and thrift, ecology and health.

seminars for middle and senior schoolchildren were held at the prepared and renovated site of the building of the State Budgetary Educational Institution ?Cherikov Center for Children and Youth Tourism, Local Lore and Excursions?; 62 students from the "Secondary School #1 of the city of Cherikov", "the Secondary School # 2 of the city of Cherikov", "the State Vocational Lyceum # 1" were trained in environmental behavior skills.
