Building Local Capacity on small Islands for Clean Energy home lighting for income generating through Handicraft making
The project is addressing the poor lighting sources where electricity power are lacked in remote communities and becoming a hardship women economic empowerment. The women in the local community earn income from handicraft basket but with the burden to gather do gardening and gather food to feed families in the day and taking care of disable people it is becoming a challenge to improve economic cash to meet family needs such as school fees good strong proper shelter and hence to reduce poverty within local communities. The project will provide home lighting through replacing fossil fuel lighting sources with Solar within homes f the handicraft mothers and disability.

Notable Community Participation
5 local youth will be part of the technician team in the installation and maintenance of the solar system under the supervision of solar engineer expert.
All local village youth of over 400 young people on the island of Futuna and Aniwa will be part of the local community awareness on global climate issues affecting local climatic conditions.
