Sustaining Forest Management Toward REDD+ Implementation-(SFMTR+) at Chrok La Eang Community Protected Areas
This project is arming at building capacity of Chrok La Eang Community Protected Areas (CPA) management committee and members on REDD+ concept and to conserve 660 ha of protected areas by implementing key activities listed in CPA management plan such as installed 40 boundary poles and 4 educational signboards which can be prevented of the forest land encroachment and strengthening Forest patrolling actives. In addition to that project also provides support to 122 poor families to increase their income by establishing Self-Help group, Farmer Cooperative and management of Community Based Eco-tourism. In order to promote sanitation and agricultural products, the water pipe line system will be connected from the waterfall which provide enough water for 52 tourism service providers; 140 households consumption, 35 households (140 persons), one pagoda (10 persons), one primary school (300 students) and one wildlife sanctuary office. Documentation of lesson learns and good practices are part of this project.
