*Note: Originally MDV/SGP/OP6/Y3/CORE/LD/2018/03
Project aims at introducing alternative farming practices such as hydroponic farming and organic farming through training and demonstrations to reduce the hazards caused to health of people and the environment by chemicals (synthetic fertilizers and pesticides ) used in the agriculture. These methods of farming are expected to maintain the organic matter and beneficial soil microbes that will provide the crops with sufficient nutrients and a healthy environment. The project also expects to produce compost from organic waste and use crop rotation technique to get the maximum benefit from the different nutrients in the soil.
