ICCAs that has been documented and registed in WGII system can be a tool to any stakeholder to encourage the recognition of community and its territories of life. .
The understanding ICCA can be the way to achieve tenure rights of the community and other way to strenghten the benefits of nature conservation to nature and community
New Developments and unexpected difficulties during the implementation of the project:
The expected political will from the government some times be a challenge for every stakeholders, for example when WGII tries to invervent the bill conservation law to inputs ICCA as one of main aspect of conservation. Government suddenly revoke this bill from national legislation program.
Actions taken to solve them:
WGII tries to always accompanied this advocacy and meet stakeholders key to secure this proccess
Remarks/lesson learned:
? Collaboration in regional and national level is needed and also be the key to secure this process and encourage this advocacy
? Community need more understanding about how important nature conservation as part of their tenurial system
? Reading the political will from the government and do strategical approach to every stakeholder is needed to make sure that government has a good will to recognize community?s territories of life
