Promotion of Innovative Portable Insulated Metallic Stove Nationwide through Training and Sensitization
Objective:
To have a section of Craftsperson in Pakistan, able to make SGP Insulated Metallic Stoves for better & quick cooking yielding reduction in wood consumption

Specific Objective# 1:
Training of the Artisans for the best practice of making SGP Metallic Stoves in every Province of Pakistan

Specific Objective# 2:
Involvement of all Stakeholders at Province and District level for promotion and enhancement of SGP Metallic Stoves

Specific Objective# 3:
Provision of SGP Insulated Metallic Stoves to a section of Community for safer practice of cooking

Following are major activities, which will be conducted in proposed area for the better environment.

? Selection and Invitation of Trainee Artisans
Research & Development for Human Resources (RDHR) with collaboration of SGP Network SAJAN will select different Artisans from all over Pakistan. 20 Artisans will be selected and invited who are in practice in all provinces of Pakistan.

? Training of Artisans on Stoves
RDHR will hire a consultant and one trainers who would train the artisans about the SGP Metallic stove. Following the orientation, information of material used in metallic stoves will be shared. Process of making every part of stoves will be shown ad trained by consultation and trainer. They will also be involved in making at least one stove after the training. Training will be done in 2 process. In first, 10 Artisans will be trained and other 10 Artisans will be training in another session. One training session and involvement process will continue till 7 days.

? Development & Printing of Manual
Manual of SGP Metallic Stove will be developed after the consultation with UNDP, GEF, SGP team. Manuals will also be distributed among the training participants (Artisans) and other stakeholders who would be involved in the intervention.

? Training Material of Insulated Metallic Stove
Training material will be consisted of Material of SGP Metallic Stove. The Description is below:
? Two cells (First Cell: 12? size and second cell 8? size with 3 diameters
? 24 Gauge sheet out side
? 14 Gauge Pipe
? 14 Gauge Drum
? 14 Gauge
? Clan wool through copper heat exchange insolation in blue water collecting
? Double metallic drum
? Insulated bottom
? Handle for portable dues
? Open able door of 6? size
? Stove will be portable with legs 2?
? Dunkin device of 2? and total 8? depth
? Grating of ¼ diameters will be rest on the project support
? All the joints will be fixed through approved rivet size
? First & second cell shall be coupled together and chimney will also be coupled as per requirement

? Consultant
One consultant will be hired for the training and making process of SGP Metallic Stoves during the training session. Consultant will be hired with support of UNDP, GEF, SGP team through advertisement and/or head hunting.

? Trainer
One trainer will be hired for the training and for the assistance to the consultant. He will be involved in making of SGP Metallic Stoves during the training session. Trainer will be hired with support of UNDP, GEF, SGP team through advertisement and/or head hunting.

? Tool Kits
Trainee Artisans will be provided Tool Kit during the training. Tool Kit will be comprised of 2 Scissors, One Scale, Binder, 2 Hammers (one of Iron and one of wood), Rail, and a Pipe.

? Workshop for experience sharing and Certificate award
One experience sharing workshop will be organized in District Hyderabad where the members of Trainee Artisans, UNDP GEF, SGP, Provincial and District level stakeholders and civil society will be participating to share innovative ideas and change made by the intervention. Certificates will also be awarded to participants from all over Pakistan.

? Traveling of Trainees from all over Pakistan
Traveling allowance will be given to Artisans from the origin District to District Hyderabad and from Hyderabad to their origin District.

? Stay of Trainees in Hotel
Stay will be provided to Artisans in Hotel day before the training. During the training, they will be back to hotel for stay. After the training and participation in Workshop, they will leave District Hyderabad after 10 days stay.

? Traveling of Trainees from Hotel to Workshop
Traveling will be provided to Artisans from Hotel to workshop at the morning and them from Workshop to Hotel.

? Daily Subsistence Allowance - DSA (20% Breakfast, 40% Lunch, 40% Dinner)
RDHR will provide Daily Subsistence Allowance (DSA) for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Total PKR. 2000/= will be utilized in shape of breakfast, lunch and dinner.

? Meetings with PDMA for promotion of Metallic stoves
For the promotion of SGP Metallic stoves, meetings will be done with authorities of Sindh Provincial Disaster Management Authority. In meetings, innovative idea of UNDP, GEF, SGP will be shared. They will be sensitized on the promotion of that stove in different deprived areas of Sindh for better atmosphere and health of the community especially women who are engaged in cooking at open traditional stoves.

? Follow up visit to the Artisans for promotion of Stoves in Pakistan
RDHR will randomly visit to the Artisans in Pakistan who would be trained on making of SGP Metallic Stoves in Hyderabad. These visits will be for follow up of the training. During follow up and meeting with Artisans, they will also be sensitized on making of SGP Metallic stoves.

? Token Distribution of Stoves to the community recommended by PDMA in Sindh
RDHR will provide 50 SGP Metallic stoves to the communities which will be suggested and recommended by PDMA. During the meetings with PDMA, criteria of deprived communities will be shared.

? Transport for the Token Distribution of Stoves
Transport will be arranged to bring stoves to the area which was identified and recommended by PDMA authorities.

? Visit and Meeting with Communities along with PDMA authorities to the recommended area
After the recommendation of PDMA for the distribution of stoves to community, RDHR staff will visit to the area and hold meeting with those communities.

? Procurement of Sampling of Neem Tree and Provision of those to the Communities recommended by PDMA
Sampling of the Teem Tree will be procured and provided to the communities of the area which was identified by PDMA. Sapling will be provided to those households for plantation who would be provided stoves.

? Transport for the Neem Tree
Transport will be arranged to bring Sapling of Neem Tree to the area which was identified and recommended by PDMA authorities.

? Sensitization & awareness session with Communities of the recommended area for better use of SGP Metallic stoves
After the identification and selection of beneficiaries with involvement of PDMA, trainings will be given to household women who will be focused in the training on usage of insulated metallic stoves in their house. They will be trained regarding Does and Don?ts of the metallic stoves for sustainable use. Women will be trained as they are the primary users of stoves in the houses. Session will be held to aware the community about environmental issues and problems in the targeted villages. Beside, Communities will be emphasized to plant more saplings in the area for green and better environment

? Documentary
A Documentary will be developed covering all the activities of the intervention for promotion of better practice.
