As part of its strategic plan, the Amwaj Environment Association, in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment, the Municipality of Tyr, Tyr Beach Reserve, the Fishermen's Union, the Diverse Association, the Palm Islands Reserve, RACSA and MEDASSET will organize an awareness and training program to monitor and protect turtles. The program includes monitoring of environmental indicators and impact of pollution and others pressures resulting from human practices. As well as the monitoring of marine turtle habitats and putting signs and guidelines for their protection on the Mediterranean environmental map to integrate this program with the efforts of protected areas, institutions and programs mentioned above. This program will have a positive impact on the sustainable development of the region and will make a qualitative change in the misconceptions and establish a new concept and behavior among the people of the region to preserve and protect sea turtles.
