Notable Community Participation
A large number of youths was involved in the project, mainly for reconstruction of the fresh pool. And the establishment of Women's Committee Centre where various training will be conducted to empower the community.
Replication of project activities
Across Samoa there are over 100 natural wells that have been part of a cultural tradition. The form a place where communities meet, people wash clothes, and even bathe. Children learn to swim here before they take to the ocean and in days past the pools also provided drinking water. Now they are an economic boon as they save money on water. People still wash their clothes and bathe here.
