The project successfully converted 61 ha of slash and burn agriculture land to productive land use. Out of 61 ha, 27 ha land was converted to fodder and fruit orchards, 17 ha in agroforestry and 17 ha climate smart organic farming practices. With this organic initiation, the project is successful in reducing about 3 tones of chemical fertilisers and about 450 liters of chemical pesticides.
While doing so, the project mobilized 247 members (male 72 and women 175) including 31 youths forming 10 farmers groups. The project successfully trained locals on different capacity building activities such as leadership development activities, climate smart agriculture; cattle shed improvement, organic farming, compost and organic pesticide making training.
As of now, farmers had produced a total of 118 tones of organic vegetable and earned over USD 48,000. The project was successful in mobilizing more than USD 19,000 from Rural Municipality to replicate climate smart agriculture in neighboring villages. The project also prepared handbook of climate smart agriculture in Nepali for easy reference to local farmers.

With the support from GIZ, the project supported to install 500 improved cook stoves.
