Pamarkchong Protection and Conservation Project
Pamarkchong located in the areas of 6 villages: Nakok, Nabone, Nalan, Launhar and Thongpha, Pathumphone District, Champasack Province. Pamarkjong namely by villager as Community protection forests. Markchong is the big tree and also a kind of tree that rarely to find among the industrial plants which has value in economic term. Markchong is one kind of fruit that worth and expensive can be cooked as a food and widely popular in consuming. In recent year number of population is increasing as well as the extension of society. Therefore, expansion of the forestry area into residential building, factory building and other agricultural production are occurred and this is the necessary and can?t be avoided. So Parmarkchong and other trees have been destroyed and became decreased in each year. If there is no proper management and conservation on this economical tree like Pamarkchong, it will be decreased and eventually extinguished. The aim is to protect, conserve and restore the green forest which in trends to be decline year by year. The forests are inside the target community areas of 6 villages and want to become as a model and raising awareness for community and young generation at Pathumpone district, Champasack Province to be together sustainable with the community forever.
