Support to rural community sustainable development through innovative renewable energy models
The project main aim is the demonstration of ways to involve the community in the implementation of low carbon technologies and related benefits for the community.
Major activities of the project include:
1. Wide awareness campaign among small and medium urban and rural communities in the SGP landscape.
2. Implementation of low carbon project on climate change mitigation ? installation of energy efficient lightening systems in the villages.
3. Development of a package of recommendations for communities on legal regulation of "Green Tariff Scheme" based on practical experience.
4. Organization of seminar, where development and replication potential of the project should be presented and discussed.
5. Project ensures women?s participation and strengthening their role in all stages of project implementation.

Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
A project informational campaign was conducted in order to inform the local community about the benefits of using alternative energy: a printed informational booklet was published and distributed, and 4 articles were published in the media on the effectiveness of implementing the project results. In addition, 1 public hearing and 1 seminar for promoting the use of alternative energy for the needs of the community were held.

Gender equality is a part of project policy and all parties participate in project activities on equal base and benefit from project results.
