Jerash NGOs Coalition for Forest Protection
The project aims at raising the awareness of local community in and surrounding Dibeen Nature Reserve and Jarash national forest where illegal wood cutting for heating poses a major challenge for Forest and Reserve management. The project will also create a regional platform between Jordan and Palestine focusing on forest conservation.
In addition, the project will building the capacity of members CBOs and awareness program on forest protection targeting Dibeen local community.

Project Characteristics and Results
Policy Impact
Reduce the abuse towards Dibeen forest and increase the forest cover by 5%, thus by building partnerships among CSOs and CBOs to act as a platform aiming at the protection of forests. Furthermore, the project will also create a regional platform between Jordan and Palestine focusing on forest conservation.
Capacity - Building Component
The coalition institutionalizing and capacity building of coalition members from the CBOs and CSOs will be carried out through: ? Conduct 3 meetings with members in order to carry out the necessary needs assessment. ? Conduct specialized training (up to 10 days) on administrative, technical issues beside advocacy.
