Green Garden economy – reinvesting in the development of the village
Project goal ? to create a regional mechanism of green reinvestments to support local environmental initiatives on the conservation of biodiversity and land degradation prevention, contributing to improving the welfare level of the local population.

Project tasks:
1. To increase the capacity of nursery of the Pochepovskaya school to the level of a regional educational and practical center "Green Garden economy for the village development"
2. Disseminate the project experience in Krasnopolie district and two other districts of the south-east part of Mahileu oblast;
3. Create a regional network "Green Garden economy for the village development"
Expected results:
? Created Regional Center "Green Garden economy for the village development" (hereinafter Regional Centre);
? The regional center is equipped for adult education (up to 20 people at a time); More than 150 people got gardening training at the Regional center;
? Every year the Regional center can support up to 50 socially unprotected families in the mini-gardens laying on a total area of 5 hectares, 30% of which are located on previously vacant lands;
? At least 10 historically grown varieties of fruit trees revived and are distributing among the population
? The Regional center becomes the center of support for the activities of network "Garden Green Economy for the village development" based on educational institutions
? two districts joined the regional network of "Garden Green Economy for the village development", in each district at a school was founded a nursery of fruits and berries;
? Regional Network adopted a program of "Garden Green Economy for the village development". In 2018 100 socially unprotected families are supported with free laying of mini gardens on an area of about 10 hectares, 30% of which were previously vacant lands.
? From 2019 the Regional network becomes able to support local environmental projects for a total amount of up to 3000 US dollars.
