Sustainable Agriculture for Better Environment
The project aimed at introducing the ?Groasis waterbox? technique at the project location (16 greenhouses on 20 donums) and in surrounding farms.
The project mainly targeted local women farmers whom were trained on a several agricultural topics. In addition, the project also promoted the usage of the new technique among local farmers through arranging field visits to the project location.
The "Groasis waterbox" technique havemany advantages such as:
- Can be used in the plantation of fruits, vegetables, etc
- Strengthens the roots structure and absorption properties and
- Root growth in vertical pattern
- Preserves the water temperature
- Saves water up to 16 liters (3-6 months)

Gender Focus
After the installation of 400 ?Groasis waterboxes? at the project location, 20 women farmers were employed after being trained on several topics:
? Groasis Waterbox technique,
? The safe use of pesticides, and
? Irrigation and fertilization techniques, etc.
Inovative Financial Mechanisms
Project experience and lessons learned has been disseminated to other farms on the use of groasis water boxes and achieved results in terms of water consumption and plant growth.
