Enhancing Community Renewable Energy Culture/ Sakeb
The project aimed at promoting use of solar energy at the household level by the installation of 20 solar units at the household level. The project targeted community close to Dibeen Nature Reserve and Jarash national forest where illegal wood cutting for heating poses a major challenge for Forest and Reserve management. The project also has undertaken outreach and awareness activities at the community level. The project activities were implemented through a community managed revolving fund mechanism.

The CBO members were trained on several management and financial aspects including projects management.
Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods
The installation of the 20 solar units have contributed in reducing the electricity bill which in return contributed to the improvement of the livelihood of benefited families by saving up money paid for these bills.
