Promoting Community Renewable Energy Application
The project aims at promoting the use of renewable energy in Tubnah village. Tubnah village is surrounded by dense forest cover and is featured with the widely-distributed ancient Rumi Olive tree (700-1000 year old trees). The project will increase the use of solar heater units at the community level through a revolving fund mechanism in order to reduce and prevent the wood logging, also will raise the awareness on solar energy at the household and pupil level.
The project will basically include the installation of solar heater units on the household level and in one local school and the installation of energy saving bulbs in several households and one local school.
During the project implementation stages, the CBO will partner up with Ajloun Forest Reserve/ Ajloun Governorate and Environment and Archaeology Directorate/ Irbid Governorate.

Capacity - Building Component
A field visit will be conducted for the CBO members to the Royal Scientific Society. In addition, they will be trained on several courses including projects? management.
Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods
The installation of the solar units will reduce the electricity bill by 30% which will contribute to the improvement of the livelihood of benefited families by saving up money paid for these bills.
