? A 2 day Policy Dialogue on the newly developed National Development Plan 2017 ? 2020 and other related policies for CSOs attended by 58 participants from various CSOs, local government authorities and the central government. There were presentations from the Budget Directorate of The Ministry of Finance and Economic Development on the budget preparation process and how the CSOs fits into the process. It highlights the different stages and how CSO concerns are addressed at each stage of the process. Specifically, the presentation, which was highly interactive, had the following objectives:
o Raise awareness on the National Development Plan
o Serve as a platform to present CSO concerns and observations
o Verify and ensure that CSO concerns on environmental issues are incorporated in the Plan
o Ensure a linkage in the National Development Plan and the 2017 National Budget.

? Another 1 day Policy Dialogue was organized for CSOs, Local Government Authorities, Media Houses and Women ?Kaffo? Farmers to present to them the National Development Plan, the Climate Change Policy and the National Agriculture Policy. Similar to the workshop on the national budget preparatory process, this workshop covered The National Agricultural Policy, The Climate Change Policy showing their linkages to CSO development plans and strategies.
? Another 1 day Policy Dialogue workshop organized to discuss the role of women and the local government authorities in national development
? Organized a training on Conservation Agriculture for 50 women farmers engaged in horticulture as a means of enhancing their skills in adapting to climate change.
