Greening of Lower Badibu Ecosystem to Enhance Biodiversity Management (GLOBEL) project
The main goal of the project is to restore degraded wetland in Lower Badibu District, precisely in Kerewan, Kinteh Kunda, Saaba and Gunjur; and enhance stakeholder participation. The project specifically intends to rehabilitate lost indigenous tree species in the area, replant mangrove swamps along Bang Bolong tributary affecting four villages, pilot one wood lots in the four villages to provide fuel wood and plant shelter belt around the villages.

Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
Establish and strengthen Wetland Education Clubs (WEC) in the schools in the target communities, organise environmental Olympic competition amongst WEC Schools, hold WEC Managers' Committee Meetings, issue and disseminate progress reports.
Capacity - Building Component
Local communities shall be trained on the techniques of mangrove planting.
