Establishment of energy willow seedbed to provide planting material for Poltava region
The project focuses on two main components: planting of energy willow seedbed and conducting information campaign to promote alternative energy for heating and hot water supply purposes in Poltava region. The expected project results are:
? Conducting a comprehensive analysis of soil and preparing of a 5 ha land plot to plant 10 600 000 of energy willow seedlings.
? Maintaining and controlling the growth of seedlings, cutting the trees, testing the willow. The project prepares a report based on this research.
? Developing a Green Calendar to promote benefits of alternative energy.
? The training for students of agricultural universities and the final forum to share the project results, involving the academic community of Poltava State Agricultural Academy.
? Creating a website to promote alternative energy in general and energy plants in particular; sharing the project information through partners? websites and the local media.
