Alll the designed activities had been completed on time to meet the developed objectives and the expected outcomes in accordance to the project document and the project operation plans approved by GEF SGP;
During the whole project implementation process, the local authorities at all levels and the people living in Huong Loe and Thuong Nhat communes always provides strong supports and commitments to the implementation of the project activities. Therefore, the project have been involved the active participation of the local authorities, research institutions, social society organization and the people living in the project area.

The project has achieved the following results:
- Sustainable forest resource management and use related awareness level of the communities in Huong Loe and Thuong Nhat communes have been positively and significantly changed: after the project completion, 40% of households in Huong Loe and Thuong Nhat had quit from forest harvest jobs totally and changed to the operation of the business models introduced by the project in order to earn their income and improve their living conditions. In comparison to the year of 2016, the number of illegal forest intrusion and regulation viloi3tion cases in 2017 had been reduced about 50% for Huong Loe and 55% for Thuong Nhat commune relatively. This data strongly proved the contribution of the project activities in changing of the community awareness and behaviours in the project area.
- The capacity and management skill of the related authorities, social society organizations and otehr stakeholders in the 2 communes of Huong Loe and Thuong Nhat on the establihsment, the operation and the management of livelihood creation funds have been built and enhanced dramatically: The pilot activities on livehood creation fund establishment and development implemented under the project had been involved the activite participation of 57 households for providing 58 loans (a household borrowed 2 loans from the established pilot fund) with the average of VND 10 million as per each loan through 2 rounds of lending program (the 1st round involving 34 households and the 2nd round involving another 23 households). 100% of the debts have been recovered successfully and on time. Therefore the fund can be secured for the implementation of 2 continuous rounds of lending (the loans provided in 2nd round have been disbursed from the debts recovered from the 1st round of lending).
- The local people's capacity on marketing of the products produced by the livelihood models introduced by the project in Huong Loe and Thuong Nhat communes have been strengthened: Technicai knwoledge and marketing information, skills had been transferred through the training courses provided by the project have been successfully applied by the local people in the operation of the new business and production activities. The local people participated in the training coursessaid that the knowledge and experiences shared by the project are helpful for them in the improvement of production outputs and quality through the control of diseases harful to their cows, the improvement of environmental pollution caused from husbandry activities (pig farming), adjusting the production and business operation plans to meet the actual needs of the markets, seeking the potential buyers for sel!lng their products, etc...
- Livelihood of the people living in Huong Loe and Thuong Nhat communes have been significantly improved: the project had provided both technical and financial supports for the poor households who used to rely on forest based livelihood in opening the new production and business for income development and living condition improvement. Through the improvement of living conditions for the poor households participated in the project pilot activities, the project had contributed to the decrease of poverty level of the 2 communes of Huong Loe and Thuong Nhat.

In addition:
- Several focal authorities staff have been trained by the project to strengthen their capacity and skill on credit management and fund raising. These trained skills will strongly strengthen the capacity of local authirities and relevant stakeholders In the management of the grants and technical supports provided by NGOs and donors to realize the socio-economic development targets of the province.
- The dwellers of the buffer zones of Bach Ma National Park has been quipped with the proper knowledge and experiences to improve their production activities and living conditions. Therefore, their livelihood will not be very much less depended on the forest product harvest.
- The lessons and experiences learnt through the project implementation have been disseminated and shared in several workshops and communication events organized by the project. Therefore, many authorities at various levels who participated in those workshops and communication events can access and learn through the project lessons and experiences. The recommendations derived from the project implementation process have also been shared with those authorities who participated in the events organized by the project to be reflected in the forest management policy Innovation, reform and formulation process.
