Strengthening Environmental Cohesion and Inclusion through Knowledge Transfer Action/2015
Our overall goal of the project is to build a village of green stakeholders in Barbados by exposing the general public to GEF SGP grantees and GEF SGP country programme and its strategic objectives and results, which will assist in strengthening the networking and collaboration of existing green businesses and persons along the value chain. This includes connecting people through sharing knowledge on what presently exists in the green eco-system in Barbados, assessing what is being done well and what we need to do more of or what we need to start doing because it was is not being done presently. The five objectives are as follows:
1. Expose at least 35 GEF SGP supported green businesses and non- supported GEF SGP businesses to the general public through the knowledge fair
2. Connect at least 1000 people over the two days with these(at least) 35 entrepreneurs to facilitate information sharing, skills transfer and after knowledge fair collaboration
3. Introduce at least 100 in school students from pre-school upwards to the green industry
4. Capture Knowledge Fair activities and content along with case studies in a publication for research and literature purposes
5. Engage and connect at least 10 elders in the Knowledge Fair to enable a cross-generational transfer of knowledge.
