The project is a successful model for awareness of communities for generating biogas from cow dung and producing organic fertilizers in Dara-e-Noor District of Nangarhar in Afghanistan. Around 50 household benefited from the project. Each household save around $130 per month.

Communities learnt the economic benefits of biogas and using the slum in the agriculture field for increasing soil fertility, and their agriculture product increased. Total of 6 demonstrative biogas plants constructed. About 15 Engineers from government stockholders and 20 local craftsmen have now the capacity to design and construct the biogas plants. Based on the interview with the communities, it was observed that the women and children health improved because of using biogas which is a clean energy.
