- The project had to face the low mobilization and traumas of previous community initiatives. That was one of the main challenges.
- A buriti handicraft workshop was held with 15 participants, bringing new techniques and rescuing traditional techniques.
- A small production of handicrafts was generated, which are intended to be sold through commercial contacts in Brasilia.
- 20 kg of jatobá flour, 40 kg of dehydrated buriti and 60 pots of buriti sweet were marketed.
- Fifteen parcels of agroforestry systems (SAFs) were implemented, totaling 1.45 ha. Another 20 ha are under extractive management.
- Firefighters have been made to protect SAFs from the fire.
- The project promoted exchanges, bringing farmers to visit model properties in Brasilia.
- An educational workshop was held, which resulted in the engagement of six young people. A communication action plan was generated, but we did not receive a copy of the plan and other communication materials generated.
- The project included 3 settlement projects, involving 17 families in total, composed of 24 women, 15 young people and 3 elderly people. In total 48 people went through training.
- In terms of income, the family that participates in CSA invoices R $ 6,240 / year; the family that makes buriti crafts invoices R $ 2,300 / year; the family that sell jatobá flour makes R $ 900 / year; and the family that sells raspa of buriti bills R $ 1,200 / year. On average, the productive families of the project invoice R $ 2,660 / year.
- According to coordination reports, the project helped generate experience with handicraft and food fairs; increased the habit of group work in the community; increased awareness of the need for social organization; improved family nutrition; and generated a constant interest in monitoring the health of the trails.
