This project aims to address land degradation issues at Aguadinha local community, located inside the Parque Natural Serra Malagueta, Santiago Island. The community proposes construction of anti-land erosion terraces, which will allow enhanced soil conservation measures, and decreased levels of desertification on park and community agricultural lands. Moreover the adapting measures will increase agriculture activities, by providing extra arable land to at least 60 families.

60 beneficiary families will be involved in project implementation. It is expected that the majority of them will be women household heads. The park staff will be assisting in project management and identification of key areas.
