The project that aims to contribute to the mitigation and prevention of climate change through adoption of correct environmental practices by rural communities of the administrative posts of 3 de Fevereiro, Josina Machel Island and Xinavane village; most of the population of these communities use firewood and charcoal as source of energy for cooking and other services; on other hand, livestock grazing is practiced in community pasture lands which do not respect the basic good practices of grazing, thus, overgrazing is common feature in the district of Manhiça.
