Strengthening communities to support local green development and recover cultural and livelihood traditions
The Partnership for Development NGO is a formal network of SGP grantees in Mongolia voluntarily formed several years ago. Unitl recently it has conducted its activities as a network under the Foundation of Citizen's Ecological Education NGO. Then the network has formed into an NGO named " Partnership for Development" with registration in Selenge aimag where Mr. Dagvadorj, who is head of the NGO belongs. As a network that has conducted its activities several years cooperating with and assisting the GEF SGP in Mongolia as well as a new NGO intending to be more organized and more dedicated has suggsted the following 8 activities to do over the coming 2 years: creating willow plantations with 300,000 willow trees in several places, traditional community tannery rehabilitation and handicrafting, develop a fruit training base, practice artichoke planting, strengtening network capacity, expereince sharing and monitoring visit, community policy dialogues and awereness raising and outreach activities.
