Through building the capacity of Media Association for Peace that trains and advocate on the role of media in peace in several topics, including the environmental one, this project would strengthen the indirect participation of the organization in environmental governance and promotion of sustainable development.
The project will actually contribute in the capacities for engagement in environmental awareness not only media professionals, but also academics, civil society leaders and policy-makers that deal with media. Also, it will results in generating, accessing, and using information and knowledge (CR2) about the role of peace journalism in environmental coverage and governance. Lastly, it will enhance the capacity for Management and Implementation (CR4) of the organization?s team to increase the quality and effectiveness of environmental media projects they implement.
