Alii ma Faipule Tiavea or the Tiavea village council of chiefs is introducing the use of a new technology that will be taking into consideration the traditional method of cooking through a prototyped built ovens that is supposed to reduce the overuse of fuels and offset the use of gas emissions. Technical partners such as the MNRE and MAF will be supporting the proponent in conducting research and analysing data from the research on how the new prototype could be better improved and used by the community. A planning grant is awarded to conduct awareness raising and research by the technologist and members of the community
