“Implementation of energy-efficient street lightning technologies in Lubcha settlement, Novogrudsk district”.
Project goal ? Improving illumination of Lubcha settlement through replacement of mercury lamps with LED lamps.

Project tasks:

1. Purchasing and installation of LED lighting, photoconductive elements and other equipment for street lighting control in the Lubcha settlement.
2. Informational work on dissemination of experience in the implementation of LED lighting in rural settlements.

Expected long term results:

1. More than 4 tons of CO2 will be less emitted due to the replacement of mercury lamps with LED ones;
2. Living conditions in Lubcha will become more attractive to the public;
3. Replacement of 136 DRL-125 lamps with LED ones;
4. 75% of the population of the settlment informed about the importance of replacing mercury lamps with LED lamps in order to reduce the impact of climate change, as well as the possibility of using LED and energy-saving lamps in the domestic environment;
5. Preliminary saving street lighting budget will be about 65 million BYR due to the using of LED lamps according to prices of 2013. The total budget for 2013 for Lubcha lightning is about 140 million BYR. Due to the savings it will be possible to purchase and install 20 LED lamps in other settlements.
6. Restored 16th century castle in Lubcha.
7. Maintained recreational places and playground in Lubcha.
8. Publicated (printed) and distributed:
a. 450 booklets on energy efficiency and the results of the replacement of street lighting to LED lamps;
b. 150 notebooks with information on energy efficiency;
c. 200 leaflets on energy efficiency at home use.
