Education, extension services involving information, education, and behavior change communication would be perused for attitudinal change and the realization of the protection and intensification of helpful practices. Individual approach to small ? scale farming and livestock keeping would be extensively worked on, to be improved, while maintaining the propitious niches inherent in the practices. .
This phase of the project will provide input support to Weto Livestock Society to produce and distribute animals to willing farmers especially those who are willing to practice organic farming, in view of the need to reduce increasing levels of agro- chemical use. The Weto Vegetation Stock Association will also be supported to produce seedlings for the promotion of agro-forestry, energy forest and small dimension timber plantations. Beneficiary farmers will include those willing to practice organic farming. The project will also use beekeeping to support conservation and organic production. All beneficiaries are expected to repay the cost of input so as to support others on the waiting list. Beneficiaries will receive education and training before inputs are supplied.
