Reviving Historical Natural Spring NGETERUR towards saving Ngerbeched’s Taro Patches
Reviving Historical Natural Spring NGETERUR towards saving Ngerbeched's Taro Patches, is an initiative driven by Ngerbeched's youth group with the following objectives: so that it becomes a source of public water as well as a constant water source to the taro patches of Ngerbeched; developing and implementing sustainable practices toward climate resilient NGETERUR and taro patches; eliminating the major land-based threat (culvert) to the freshwater source NGETERUR; and strengthening Ngerbeched?s traditional system through the revival of NGETERUR and recharge of its ground water.

Project Characteristics and Results
Notable Community Participation
The taro patch owners of Ngerbeched had been voicing their need for clear pathways and water pathways to their taro patches; that is was becoming difficult to access their taro patches and water to the taro patches was dwindling down. The fact that the Project is a result of community request and community needs will only strengthen community support and ownership.
