Strengthening Environmental Governance in Palau by building the capacity of communities and civil society organizations to fully engage in Palau’s Small Grants Program
This project is intended to build the capacity of Civil society organizations particularly community based organizations to fully engage in Palau?s Small Grants Program, so that projects undertaken are:
1. Effectively managed and reported to ensure enhancement of Palau?s Small Grants Portfolio, and
2. complement or enhance existing state and national objectives and thereby assures the appropriate linkages resulting in global environmental benefits.

Notable Community Participation
PCS will utilize its various media outreach to ensure community participation in this project. We will feature it on the PCS weekly radio talk show and on the PCS environmental news update on Oceania Television Network. PCS will work with our community partners such as the Belau Watershed Alliance, the Palau Protected Areas Network, etc. to promote the project and build greater awareness of its value to the community.
Capacity - Building Component
This project will build on existing efforts to build CSO awareness of Palau?s Small Grants Program and Palau?s global environmental commitments as well as to improve CSO management capacity in implementing environmental projects. The following objectives are intended to achieve that goal
