The community of Kvemo-Alvani has been involved in the project development since the inception of the idea. The initial document justifying the project was developed based on close consultations of local stakeholders. More specifically, the local community has prioritized the development of nursery at the community meeting held on October 26, 2011. The community further reaffirmed the interest at a meeting on September 5, 2013 when the project proposal was discussed and approved by the community members. The School staff, schoolchildren (through the existing eco-club), and the Kvemo Alvani community members will contribute by physical labor (in addition to the school?s 4,000 USD monetary contribution). Schoolchildren will engage in works that do now require heavy physical labor such as planting seedlings and the usual operation works of the nursery.

The project is one of the examples how priority problem can be solved by the joint effort of young people, local community and the government ; thus will ensure community mobilization.

The project will raise both school students and local community awareness in following direction: biodiversity conservation, sustainable agriculture management and afforestation. it will be done through practical works at nursery as well as based on trainings
