Notable Community Participation
? All grantees, past, present and potential will be invited and encouraged to participate in the project by email and in person.
? The project activities and training opportunities will be highlighted to help them understand how the project will benefit them and help them better communicate the results and findings of their environmental projects to the community to colleagues and to policy-makers.
? Communication with participants will take place via email, and meetings organised from time to time to ensure that the project activities are meeting their needs
Gender Focus
? The NGO/CBO community in Seychelles attracts active participation both genders therefore it should be relatively easy to ensure that all of the project activities have a gender balance and also are designed to meet the needs and interests of both genders.
? Training sessions on designing educational materials and outreach strategies for different target audiences will address issues of gender as well as accessibility of information to other audiences (e.g. the elderly, illiterate, very young, disabled, etc.)
