This project will bring significant improvement for human health as tons of waste mixed with infectious and hazardous waste is generated from targeted hospitals each year and find its way to the environment and society. Successful completion of the project will avert cost on the treatment of Hep B and C patients; however tangibility of this cost will not be easy to document.
Beside benefit to the human health and society, this project will help in reducing tangible environmental pollution in terms of garbage burring and land degradation etc.
HWM project will yield extra ordinary learning experience for the targeted hospitals and will serve as a replicable model.
Following are some risk and assumptions:
Assumptions:
- The targeted hospitals may feel insecure in sharing the waste management records.
- Any conflict may arise between District Health Department and implementing organization
- Inflation rate may hinder the activities cost
- Implementing organization may fail to carryout activities on time due to unforeseen seasonal hindrances
- Delay in the release of the budget from donor may cause delay in the proposed activities
Risks:
- Undue intervention of district government can cause serious injury to project implementation
? Unstable political conditions of country
