Save The Envronment Through Solar Energy in UC-Ahmed Rajo, District Badin.
Providing 400 Solar Lanetrns as source of alternate energy on priority basis to 400 households in 10 villages of U.C Ahmed Rajo in duration of 1 year.
Reducing the poverty of 400 households of 10 villages of U.C Ahmed Rajo by helping them to save regular expenses on kerosine oil and expenses of wood used for burning.
Awareness of environmental hazards to around 500 people of the community in order to lead them towards sustainable environmental activities.
Capacity building of targeted communities for proper usages of provided Solar Lanterns.
Project staff will be hired from the local area, so that unemployment can be reduced.
Orientation meeting will be conducted in order of introduction and information about the proposed project to hired staff in starting of the project project.
Procurement and purchasing of solar lanterns and other equipments will be done, so that quality of hardware can be purchased and that would costing low.
IEC materials will be prepared for the different themes of project in the 2nd or 3rd month of proposed project.
Awareness sessions will be planed for capacity building of communities so that people will be awared about the proper usage of Solar lanterns.
Awareness sessions will be conducted about the deforestration and environment, in order to aware the local people about the foresting and environmental benefits.
Anticipated Results
The expected achievments are seen in terms of firewood saving and saving of environment which will help in reducing the land degradation process.
400 Solar Lanterns will be provided to the most needy people so that it will reduce the burning of kerocine oil and wood.
Community will be benefiting from the Solar Lanterns around 70% .
60-70% reduction in burning of kerocine oil and 40% reduction of wood consumption used for the lighting purpose at night time.
Natural resources will be safeguarding by the community.
CBOs are strengthened, registered and activated in the proposed area.
Women are skilled in their traditional hand made items and have improved their socio economic condition
