The Reduction of Environment Hazards through Insolated Metallic Stoves and Awareness in UC Seri of Taluka Rural, District Hyderabad
The proposed intervention will be supportive to reforestation and decrease environment degradation in the area.
Objective:
To have a section of society, in UC Seri of District Hyderabad, able to address environmental hazards
Specific Objectivet#1:
Involvement of district authorities and community is aware about environmental issues
Specific Objectivet #2:
Provision and Installation of Insolated Metallic Stoves to 725 households
Following are major activities under the specific objectives which will be conducted in proposed area for the better environment.
Specific Objectivet#1:
1.1 Baseline Survey:
Baseline Survey will be conducted to collect basic information on what is situtaion in the proposed area UC Seri, Taluka Rural, Distrit Hyderabad. Data will be collected by interviewers using a structured and standardized close and open-ended questionnaire. The data of baseline survey will support in identifying and selection of beneficiaries
1.2 Bound building meetings with communities
Bond building meeting with the targeted communities will be conducted during and after baseline survey in targeted villages. The meeting will help to share the actual aims and objectives of the intervention and create space to involve community for sharing ideas in support of better environment. These meeting will support RDHR team to identify village activists, influential persons, and people willing to step towards better environment. Organization will onboard them to sustain project outcome.
1.3 Formation of 10 Community Based Organization
Community Based Organization (CBOs) will be formed at village level. Each CBO will be at village level with supporting hand in selection of beneficiaries. Village activists will be encouraged and involved in CBOs. These CBOs will be formed during awareness sessions in the selected villages of the targeted areas.

1.4 Training of 10 Community Based Organization
After the formation of Community Based Organization (CBOs), trainings will be given to them for forest management and other initiatives to support biodiversity and the participation of all segments of society. Training will be focus to involve CBO members in identifying village issues perticularly environment issues and find ways to solve those issues.
1.5 Community awareness campaign
1.5.1 10 Awareness sessions with community
Awareness sessions will be held to aware the community about environmental issues and problems in the targetted villages. Every session, 25 to 30 members will be ensured to participate where benefits of forest, trees, and better environment will be shared. Beside, Communities will be emphasized to plant more saplings in the area for green and better environment.
1.5.2 10 Coordination meetings with CBOs
Coordination meetings with CBOs will be organized in the targeted villages. These sessions will be held with special focus to involve member of CBOs and onboard them in project activities. 10 sessions will be held before the distribution of insolated metallic stoves and during and after disribution.
1.5.3 Interactive Theatre
Two (2) interactive theatres in the targeted UC will be organized to mobilize and aware community on the environmental issues. A well trained group of professional will demonstrate theatre to convince and mobilize people towards better practice of environment friendly activities.
1.5.4 Cordination meetings with influential and village activists
RDHR will conduct 10 Coordinaiton meetings with local influential and village activists to involve to involve them in project activities. These meetings will support organization to onboard influential and activist at village level. Those will support in activites and in identifying beneficiaries.
1.5.5 Demonstration of Hand-Chain at Khathar Forest site on World Environment Day
Community of the targeted area will be sensitized regarding the issue of environment and better steps toward forestation. They will be involved in making Hand-Chain of one kilometer at Khathar Forest on world environment day which is observed on 5th June of every year.

1.6 Consultative meeting with authorities
1.4.1 Consultative Meetings with district authorities Forest Department to sensitize on environmental issues.
Two (2) Consultative meetings will be organized with district authorities and line departments to share the issues of the environment in the area and sensitize them. Meetings will help keeping them on board and involve them on the ground by making them responsible to implement law effectively and accordingly which result in sustainable outcomes. These meeting will be organized with involvement of communities after sensitization and awareness of community who themselves share the issues of environment in the area.
Specific Objectivet#2:
2.1 Identification of 725 women beneficiaries for provision of Insolated Metallic Stoves (Shehbaz Stoves)
725 women beneficiaries will be selected in the targeted area to provide technical support and they will be provided and installed portable Insolated Metallic Stoves which are energy efficient stoves. Identification will be done with involvement CBO of respective villages. vulnerable houses will be selected for the intervention and support.
2.2 Training to Local Blacksmith regarding the making of Insolated Metallic Stoves
One structured training will be organized where two local blacksmiths will be trained by the technical person/trainer. In the training, blacksmith will be trained regarding the making of portable Insolated Metallic Stoves who will facilitate communities to make stoves. Tool kits will also be provided for the making of stoves. Following equipments will be in tool kit:
o Normal Press
o Rail
o Hammer set
o Rivel Machine
o Drill Machine
o Scale and Plask/Holder/Bender
o Copper Tube , Heat exchange Manufacturing and
o Holding & Fixing tool for connection to drum
2.2 Training to household Women for using Isolated Metallic Stoves
After the identification and selection of beneficiaries with involvement of CBOs, trainings will be given to household women who will be focused in the training on usage of insolagted metallic stoves in their house. They will be trained regarding Does and Don?ts of the metallic stoves for sustainable use. Women will be trained as they are the primary users of stoves in the houses.
2.3 Provision and Installation of 725 Insolated Metallic Stoves (Shehbaz Stove) to selected beneficiaries
After the identification and training to local blacksmiths, facilitation will be given to beneficiaries for making Insolated Metallic Stoves. This stove is kind of stove which can be moved from one place to another easily. Specification of Insolated Metallic Stoves is as under:
? Two cells (First Cell: 12? size and second cell 8? size with 3 diameters
? 22 Gauge sheet chimney , hot water facility
? Clan wool through copper heat exchange insolation in blue water collecting
? Double metallic drum
? Insulated bottom
? Handle for portable dues
? Open able door of 6? size
? Stove will be portable with legs 2?
? Dunkin device of 2? and total 8? depth
? Grating of ¼ diameters will be rest on the project support
? All the joints will be fixed through approved rivet size
? First & second cell shall be coupled together and chimney will also be coupled as per requirement
2.4 Provision of 725 RCC Pipes to selected beneficiaries for stoves
During the making of stoves for beneficiaries, pipes will be provided which will be installed in stove and supportive for wear smoke out of the house. One RCC pipe will be of 10 inch feet long and internal width of pipe will be 4 inch round. Beside that two elbows will also be jointed to curve pipe to other side.
Anticipated Results (not more than 300 words)
? The expected achievements are seen in terms of firewood saving which in turn will contribute towards reducing the land degradation process. The output of this activity will be seen in the form of better Natural Resources Management practices and environmental upgradation.
? 725 Insolated Metallic Stoves have been installed to the most vulnerable people tend to engage in wood cutting
? Community is fully aware about their ill-doings of miss-using of woods unknowingly damaging environment
? 90% of targeted community is benefiting from the Insolated Metallic Stoves
? 60% reduction in wood consumption used for cooking and purposes
? Community is well aware about their natural resources and are trained in reforestation and actively involved in better practices towards better environmental
? CBOs are strengthened and activated in the area and are echoing their voice against ill doings of people
? Contribution to improved health of the rural population perticularly women and children by decreasing indoor air pollution and the risk of smoke induced diseases.
? CBOs and communities are imparting and replicating good practices in other villages by their self
