The overall objectives of the project

? To Establish a yard for the manufacturing of 300,000 Compress Earth Blocks in district Jamshoro in one year
? To Streghthen capacity of 100 Artisans and craftsman through trainings and sessions on manufacturing and promotion of CEB in district Jamshoro in one year
? Construction of Three (3) houses on participatory basis with community.
? To increased awareness of 50 enterpreneursin term of socio economic and environemental benefits of EE technology through trainings in district Jamshoro in one year.


Activities of the Project

? Hiring of staff for yard
? Establish CEB yard in the operational area
? Procurement of auto CEB manufacturing machine
? Procurement of Manual CEB Machine
? Procurement of material for the manufacturing of CEB
? Design and develop a CEB manufacturing manual book in Sindhi and Urdu
? Construction of Three (3) houses on participatory basis with community.
? Conduct two (02) one day training to 100 local Artisans on the manufacturing of CEB block
? Conduct two (02) one day training on promotion and marketing of Energy Efficient products to 50 entrepreneurs

? Staff hired for the execution of manufacture of CEB blocks
? Blocks manufacturer machine purchased
? Manufacturing of 300,000 CEB blocksin one year (150,000 CEB blocks will manufactured in share of SGP/GEF budget while 150,000 will be manufactured in recovery of Selling Blocks at the rate of manufacturing cost per block ).
? Developed manuals in Sindhi and Urdu for local Artisans and entrepreneurs
? Construction of Three (3) houses on participatory basis with community.
? Trained 100 local artisans regarding manufacturing of CEB
? Trained 50local entrepreneurs regarding promotion & sales and marketing of Energy Efficient blocks
Anticipated Results

? As the traditional bricks are less insulators against heat and produce more CO2 and new CEB reduce CO2 emission by 40-45 % respectively
? GHG emissions and increase carbon storage by transferring innovative low carbon and energy efficient technologies
? The pressure on forest land will also be reduced by 40%
? Community forestation will be restored by 40 %
? Environmental hazardous will be reduced by community awareness towards EE technology
? Livelihood opportunties will also be improved
? New trends of construction introduced in the operational area
