Objectives:

? Establishment of low cost and energy efficient ecotourism spot with safe accommodation and restaurant facility at Bhit Shah
? Improving environmental conditions with installation of dustbins, hand pumps and construction of public latrines
? Protection of endangered plant and animal?s species with active participation of local communities.

Activities:
? Construction of five room tourism center (guest house) with restaurant facility at Bhit Shah
? Establishment of soofi music segment (program) with qualitative translated version
? Construction of latrines for visitors/tourists
? Installation of hand pumps at main points of the shrine premises/city area
? Installation of dustbins near shrine premises and main locations at Bhit Shah
? Protection of endangered plant and animal species with promotion of fresh water lake.
? Establishment of handicrafts corner for economic benefit of local communities

Anticipated Results

The proposed project on a model ecotourism and ecofriendly point at Bhit Shah will be an opening for various arts, craft shows, folk festivals, and several other openings of historical museums in Sindh and across Pakistan. This will improve rank of Pakistan in tourism list and a new market of good infrastructure, quality branding, and marketing effectiveness for tourism industry. It will compete with other hotspots of tourists where people try to visit on regular basis and dropping ratio of Sindh (Pakistan) tourism industry will be improved with this intervention. The national and international tourists will be motivated with availability of a good quality tourism infrastructure point and provision of standard competitive hotel rooms with cultural resources and a safe and secure environment. The environmental status will be improved. Local communities will be sensitized to keep neat and clean shrine area and other parts of city. They will play pro-active part for the protection of some endangered plant and animal species. The local artisans especially women will be financially benefited through the sale of their indigenous products on good prices rate and these women take a lead role in enterprise development. Local communities will be involved in improving environmental activities like tree plantation and establishing small level nurseries for fresh air and healthy environment. These people will practice and then will improve their villages and other locations in remote areas where there is urgent need. There seems very less risk for establishing and promoting such activity because local people are being closely associated with Bhit Shah and poetry of Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai therefore women and men will jointly cooperate to keep continued the designed activities.
