The project aims at improving the sustainability of Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary (CBWS) through the promotion of sustainable supplementary livelihoods, an environmental stewardship program and monitoring incursion trends.

Through this proposed project, community members will be mobilized to participate in a community needs assessment that will identify existing vocational skills in communities, green supplementary livelihoods options per community and other demographic data. After the socio economic assessment has been conducted, two working groups (Totaling 30 direct beneficiaries- 2 groups of 15 community members), one in each of two buffer communities, will be organized and supported to improve their livelihoods through the implementation of green sustainable supplementary livelihood options.
