Nowadays, the amount of regular biking people covers 10% of Guangzhou city?s population. It mainly consists of three kinds of groups: group for works, such as people needs to deliver water, papers or express; group for fun; group for necessity, for instance, ride to pick up children or ride instead of walk.However, there are no related laws and regulations to develop bike way and support green travel. Citizens also lack of awareness on green traffic.
The project will promote bicycle traffic in Guangzhou through policy recommendations and public participation campaign.

Main problems:
1)Currently, the road construction and design in Guangzhou doesn?t consider the basic need of bike riding. There is lacking of cycle track or no bike-way maintenance.
2)Local citizens lack of awareness of green traffic or misunderstand bike riding.
3)Bike riders cannot enjoy bike riding environment and facilities.

Solutions/activities:
1)Develop the travel map social platform for bicycle travel;establish and promote mobile phone app client of bicycle travel map
2)Conduct policy advocacy on bike-riding friendly policy and facilities
3)Conduct bike-riding campaigns including 'bike to work' event every Friday,night riding once a month and cycling competition.
4)Conduct online bike-riding promotion activities.

Anticipated results/outcomes:
1)5000 people use bicycle travel map mobile client and 627 tons of CO2 emission reduction expected
2)The government invests in bike-way construction and supporting facilities, which will reduce 6305 tons of CO2
3) 10000 people participate in bike-riding activities
4) Green travel idea impact 50000 people and 10000 people choose bike travel.
